IV therapies
Recovery / Amino Acid Therapy
A program with a careful discussion of treatment goals and evidence.
Start with a consultationA closer look
Amino acids are building blocks of proteins. Vitara is reviewing a possible recovery program; the formulation and route have not been selected. Product review includes a combination of glutamine, arginine, and carnitine. Injection and IV options require separate product and route confirmation; no formulation has been selected.
How it works & what research shows
Why this route may fit your needs
A route will be selected only after the formulation and clinical need are defined. IV delivery of amino acids in medical nutrition does not establish better exercise recovery than adequate dietary protein.
The route must match the prescribed product. Oral options, injection-site risks and your individual health needs are part of the decision.
Mechanism
Amino acids supply building blocks for proteins. Certain amino acids also influence signals involved in muscle-protein synthesis, providing a rationale for studying nutrition and recovery.
Clinical benefits & evidence
Adequate dietary protein supports muscle maintenance and adaptation to training. This does not establish that an IV amino-acid mixture improves recovery or performance in a person who is adequately nourished.

Research & unanswered questions
Studies examine protein and amino-acid intake, exercise-related soreness, and muscle adaptation, with mixed findings for isolated supplements. Much of the evidence concerns oral nutrition. Vitara’s formulation and route remain unfinalized, so a treatment-specific benefit cannot yet be claimed.

Is this right for you?
Discuss activity, nutrition, recovery concerns, and persistent symptoms. The assessment should identify a clinical need before recommending a product.
Your visit
What to expect
Your clinician will explain the recommended treatment, alternatives, and follow-up before you decide whether to proceed.
Before your visit
Personalized preparation instructions will be provided through the patient platform once appointments are available.
After your visit
Treatment-specific aftercare instructions will be provided by the clinical team through the patient platform.
Risks & important considerations
Risks and interactions depend on the selected ingredients and route. A complete formulation-specific review is needed before treatment can be offered.
How we reduce risk
Our approach is outlined below. These measures reduce risk but cannot eliminate it.
- Assess nutrition and recovery concerns first, and consider whether dietary changes or another evaluation would be more appropriate than an injection.
- Finalize and review the complete formulation, route, compatibility, and relevant organ-function concerns. Evidence about dietary amino acids does not establish the safety of an injectable mixture.
- Review pharmacy preparation quality and product-specific warnings before use. Establish monitoring for local reactions and other adverse effects, with a plan to stop and assess unexpected symptoms.

Understanding the evidence
Research on exercise supplements varies by ingredient and outcome. Evidence from dietary protein or oral supplements cannot be assumed to apply to an IV amino-acid mixture.

Common questions
Can I book this treatment now?
Yes. Every visit starts with a consultation, which you can book online from our patient care page.
Where will I complete my medical forms?
Medical intake, consent forms, and patient records will be handled in a separate patient platform. This website does not collect that information.
Approved by Vitara’s clinicians. This page is general education, not medical advice or a complete risk guide; your clinician will discuss your individual risks and options.
