IV therapies
NAD+ IV Therapy
A considered approach to NAD+ therapy, beginning with an individual clinical evaluation.
Start with a consultationA closer look
NAD+ is a molecule involved in cellular energy processes. An IV delivers it into a vein. Its natural role in the body does not by itself establish that an infusion improves energy, cognition, or aging.
How it works & what research shows
Why this route may fit your needs
IV allows the infusion rate to be adjusted during administration. This delivery advantage does not establish improvements in energy, cognition or longevity; clinical evidence for NAD+ infusions remains limited.
The route must match the prescribed product. Oral options, injection-site risks and your individual health needs are part of the decision.
Mechanism
NAD+ helps transfer electrons in reactions that produce cellular energy and is used by enzymes involved in DNA repair and cell signaling. Infusion is proposed to increase NAD+ availability; delivery into a vein does not itself prove improved function inside tissues.
Clinical benefits & evidence
General benefits for energy, focus, or healthy aging remain unproven for IV NAD+. A randomized study in a specific heart-failure population reported improved pumping function, but did not establish a significant reduction in major clinical events; this is not evidence for routine wellness use.

Research & unanswered questions
Recent work includes a 2025 heart-failure trial and a 2026 retrospective infusion-tolerability study. Questions remain about who benefits, effects of repeated treatment, and long-term safety. Studies of oral NAD+ precursors are not interchangeable with IV NAD+ research.

Is this right for you?
Discuss the reason for seeking treatment, current symptoms, medicines, and other ways to investigate or address your concerns. A consultation should include the uncertainty around wellness benefits.
Your visit
What to expect
Your clinician will explain the recommended treatment, alternatives, and follow-up before you decide whether to proceed.
Before your visit
Personalized preparation instructions will be provided through the patient platform once appointments are available.
After your visit
Treatment-specific aftercare instructions will be provided by the clinical team through the patient platform.
Risks & important considerations
An IV involves needle and infusion risks. FDA has reported severe chills, shaking, vomiting, and fatigue with injectable NAD+ products and has raised concerns about ingredients unsuitable for sterile compounding. Product sourcing and preparation require careful review.
How we reduce risk
Our approach is outlined below. These measures reduce risk but cannot eliminate it.
- Review your symptoms, health history, medicines, and alternatives before deciding whether an infusion is appropriate. Discuss the uncertainty around expected benefits.
- Verify the pharmacy’s suitability for sterile preparation and the ingredients’ intended injectable use, including quality documentation and relevant safety alerts.
- Establish monitoring and a response plan before treatment. Stop and assess unexpected symptoms rather than treating severe chills, shaking, or vomiting as an expected part of the experience. A slower infusion cannot correct a contaminated product.

Understanding the evidence
A small pilot study measured changes in blood and urine during an NAD+ infusion. It did not establish meaningful long-term wellness or anti-aging benefits. These outcomes should not be promised.

Common questions
Can I book this treatment now?
Yes. Every visit starts with a consultation, which you can book online from our patient care page.
Where will I complete my medical forms?
Medical intake, consent forms, and patient records will be handled in a separate patient platform. This website does not collect that information.
Approved by Vitara’s clinicians. This page is general education, not medical advice or a complete risk guide; your clinician will discuss your individual risks and options.
