Combination IV therapies

Hydration & Nutrient IV

A hydration option with selected nutrients only when the individual assessment supports them.

Start with a consultation

A closer look

This combination starts with an appropriate IV fluid and considers selected B vitamins or electrolytes according to clinical need. It is not a fixed add-on package: fluid alone, oral hydration, or targeted replacement may be more appropriate. Your clinician selects the ingredients for your needs.

How it works & what research shows

Why this route may fit your needs

IV may help when fluid replacement is indicated and oral intake is inadequate. Adding nutrients requires a separate clinical reason; an IV mixture is not established as better than oral fluids and appropriate nutrition for routine wellness.

The route must match the prescribed product. Oral options, injection-site risks and your individual health needs are part of the decision.

Mechanism

IV fluid expands the extracellular fluid compartment; selected electrolytes may address specific deficits. Nutrient additions have a separate rationale and should not be assumed to improve hydration itself.

Clinical benefits & evidence

Treating dehydration is established care when indicated. This does not establish that adding vitamins improves outcomes compared with appropriate fluid replacement alone.

Research & unanswered questions

Evidence for dehydration treatment and evidence for a multi-ingredient wellness infusion are different questions. Direct comparative studies of the final blend would be needed before claiming superior energy or recovery benefits.

Is this right for you?

Assess the cause and severity of dehydration, ability to drink, current medicines, and heart or kidney conditions. Severe symptoms require urgent assessment, not a routine wellness visit.

Your visit

What to expect

The clinician will review the purpose of each ingredient and discuss alternatives. A combination does not necessarily mean that all ingredients can be mixed in one bag. Administration details will follow the reviewed prescription and pharmacy compatibility information.

Before your visit

Bring questions and a complete medicine and supplement list to the consultation. Personalized instructions will be provided through the patient platform before treatment.

After your visit

The care team will provide individualized instructions, expected effects, and when to seek help. Report unexpected symptoms promptly; follow-up will depend on the final prescription.

Risks & important considerations

Potential risks include infection, vein irritation, fluid overload, allergic reactions, electrolyte disturbances, and ingredient-specific adverse effects. Mixing ingredients adds compatibility and stability considerations. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved; ingredient count is not a measure of effectiveness.

How we reduce risk

Our approach is outlined below. These measures reduce risk but cannot eliminate it.

  • Review the reason for each ingredient, allergies, medicines, supplement use, and alternatives before prescribing.
  • Assess fluid-overload risk and the reason for each electrolyte addition. Check relevant laboratory results when clinically indicated and tailor monitoring to the patient and final prescription.
  • Verify suitability for sterile injectable use and pharmacy-reviewed compatibility and stability for the exact formulation and administration route. Ingredients listed together are not instructions to mix them.
  • Use aseptic technique, individualized monitoring, and an established response plan for infusion reactions.

Common questions

Are these ingredients a finalized recipe?

No. These are ingredient categories. A clinician and pharmacy assess the indication, injectable products, compatibility, stability, and administration before a formulation is used.

Is a combination better than one ingredient?

Not necessarily. The goal is to match treatment to clinical need. More ingredients can add risk without improving benefit; oral care or a simpler approach may be preferable.

Can I book this now?

Yes. Every visit starts with a consultation, which you can book online from our patient care page.
