Hormone Optimization
A program with individual assessment at the center of care.
Start with a consultationA closer look
This service focuses on evaluating symptoms and considering treatment when there is a clinical indication. The goal is an appropriate care plan, not automatically raising hormone levels.
How it works & what research shows
Why this route may fit your needs
Route selection will depend on the hormone, diagnosis and formulation. IM, SQ and non-injection options are not interchangeable; convenience, absorption, monitoring and product-specific evidence guide the choice.
The route must match the prescribed product. Oral options, injection-site risks and your individual health needs are part of the decision.
Mechanism
Hormones act through specific receptors to regulate body functions. Treatment supplies a hormone for a defined clinical purpose; effects depend on the hormone, route, and diagnosis rather than an overall “optimization” target.
Clinical benefits & evidence
Menopause hormone therapy can relieve hot flashes and night sweats in suitable patients. Testosterone replacement can improve deficiency-related symptoms in appropriately diagnosed hypogonadism. Neither use establishes a general anti-aging benefit.

Research & unanswered questions
Research continues to refine who benefits and the longer-term risks. TRAVERSE studied cardiovascular safety of testosterone gel in a defined population with hypogonadism; its results do not establish safety for all formulations, doses, or wellness uses.

Is this right for you?
Assessment depends on the concern. For example, evaluating possible testosterone deficiency requires compatible symptoms and consistently low levels confirmed with appropriate testing.
Your visit
What to expect
Your clinician will explain the recommended treatment, alternatives, and follow-up before you decide whether to proceed.
Before your visit
Personalized preparation instructions will be provided through the patient platform once appointments are available.
After your visit
Treatment-specific aftercare instructions will be provided by the clinical team through the patient platform.
Risks & important considerations
Risks depend on the hormone, route, dose, and personal medical history. The consultation must address product-specific risks and ongoing monitoring before treatment is considered.
How we reduce risk
Our approach is outlined below. These measures reduce risk but cannot eliminate it.
- Confirm a clinical indication before recommending treatment. Possible testosterone deficiency requires compatible symptoms and appropriately repeated low levels, not a symptom checklist alone.
- Review hormone-specific contraindications and personal risks. Testosterone assessment includes blood-count, sleep-apnea, and prostate considerations; menopause treatment requires its own history and benefit-risk discussion.
- Choose an appropriate product and route, then plan follow-up for symptoms, adverse effects, and relevant testing. Prefer approved menopause hormone products over compounded alternatives when suitable.

Understanding the evidence
Hormone treatments have specific indications. Testosterone guidance does not support diagnosing deficiency from symptoms alone. Menopause care has a separate assessment and benefit-risk discussion; neither establishes a general anti-aging treatment.

Common questions
Can I book this treatment now?
Yes. Every visit starts with a consultation, which you can book online from our patient care page.
Where will I complete my medical forms?
Medical intake, consent forms, and patient records will be handled in a separate patient platform. This website does not collect that information.
Approved by Vitara’s clinicians. This page is general education, not medical advice or a complete risk guide; your clinician will discuss your individual risks and options.
